Twenty-plus years of commercial signage, three generations of family ownership, and one consistent mission: produce work that the region's most demanding operators can stake their reputation on.
G1 Graphics was founded by Ed Danberry — a service-disabled Army veteran who believed the region's commercial operators deserved better than what a typical walk-in sign shop could deliver. He built the company on a simple premise: fleets, facilities, and enterprise clients need a production partner that runs on their timelines, meets their quality standards, and shows up when it matters.
That premise shaped everything — from which clients we pursued to how our production floor was organized. No walk-in retail. No storefront. Just a commercial shop, built for commercial work. It's why clients like the Port Authority of NY & NJ, Betson, the NJ Hall of Fame, and the Brooklyn Nets became long-term relationships rather than one-time jobs.
Same clients. Same standards. Same commitment to production quality and client service. What changed was ownership structure and certification — not mission. Maria's choice to continue the company, rather than liquidate it, meant the institutional knowledge that built G1 into a trusted regional shop stayed with the company.
Today, G1 Graphics operates from our production facility at 634 Frelinghuysen Avenue in Newark and is part of the Group One family of companies — a multi-division operation with roughly 800 employees serving aviation, facility management, contracting, and distribution across the region. That backing matters on big projects. It means we have the stability, resources, and institutional depth to see your work through.
Maria has led G1 Graphics since 2020, when she inherited the company from her late husband, Ed Danberry. Under her ownership, the company became a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise and continued its focus on serving commercial operators across the NY / NJ metro.
Her leadership emphasizes the same values that defined the company from day one: treating every client's brand with the care it deserves, honoring deadlines, and never substituting marketing polish for production quality.
Oversees day-to-day production, install scheduling, and quality control across every job that leaves the shop.
Manages long-standing client relationships — including the NJ Hall of Fame account — and develops new commercial partnerships.
G1 Graphics operates alongside Group One's other divisions under Co-CEOs Anthony DeLucia and Seth Danberry.
From day one, the company is positioned to serve fleets, facilities, and enterprise clients — not walk-in retail. That focus defines every decision that follows.
The Port Authority of NY & NJ, Betson, NJ Hall of Fame, and the Brooklyn Nets become anchor accounts — relationships built on delivering to spec, on deadline, every time.
Ed Danberry passes. Maria Danberry inherits the business, recertifies G1 Graphics as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise, and continues the mission without interruption.
The broader Group One family of companies marks a quarter-century of outstanding service. G1 Graphics operates as the signs-and-graphics arm within that family.
Vehicle wraps for Essex and Rockland County Sheriff's Offices. Runway graphics at EWR. Fleet rebrands, arena graphics, municipal signage. The work — and the clients — keep growing.
G1 Graphics is one of four operating divisions within Group One — an 800-employee holding company that's spent 25+ years simplifying complex operations for demanding clients. Our sister divisions handle facility services, contracting, and airport support across the region.
Commercial signage, vehicle wraps, and large-format graphics.
Airport support services — security, warehousing, logistics, and parking.
Facility maintenance and janitorial services across the region.
Construction and renovation services for commercial clients.
Most shops our size are operating on a thin line of credit. One bad quarter and you're chasing them for refunds on a job they never finished.
That's not us. Group One's scale means audited financials, real insurance capacity, and the institutional depth to see through a six-figure fleet rebrand or a multi-site signage rollout. When we say we'll finish on deadline, we mean it.
If you're sourcing a sign shop that treats your brand like it matters and will actually finish what it starts — we should be on your short list.
