01  — WHAT WE UNDERSTAND

What municipal fleet work actually requires.

Law enforcement and municipal fleet graphics aren’t commercial wraps with a different client. Federal and state specifications govern materials, reflectivity ratings, and design. Procurement runs through formal RFPs. Departments live with these vehicles for 7–10 years — the work has to last.

!

Federal & State Specifications

Reflective sheeting must meet specific ASTM types depending on application. We work to current federal and NJ DOT specifications.

!

RFP Procurement Process

Most departments procure through formal RFPs with detailed material, design, and warranty requirements. We’ve responded to and won these — we know what they actually want to see.

!

Long Service Life

Police and sheriff’s vehicles routinely run 7+ years before replacement. Materials and installation have to last the duty cycle, not just the warranty.

!

Departmental Standards

Each department has its own design standards — markings, badge placement, identifier numbers, lettering. We work to provided standards or help develop them.

!

Quick Replacement Capability

Departments need replacement panels and graphics when vehicles are damaged in service. We stock common parts and turn replacements quickly.

!

WBE-Certified Vendor Status

Many municipal procurement programs prefer or require certified diverse-business vendors. As a continuously WBE-certified shop since 2020, we meet supplier-diversity requirements.

04  — FAQs

Common questions from municipal procurement.

Are you on any state or cooperative purchasing contracts? +

We continue to expand our presence on cooperative purchasing vehicles. Currently most of our municipal work runs through direct departmental procurement and individual RFP responses.

For departments not requiring formal RFP, we handle procurement through standard purchase orders. We’re also pursuing additional state contract vehicles as part of our growth strategy.

What reflective materials do you use? +

For police and sheriff applications, we typically use 3M Diamond Grade DG3 (ASTM Type XI) reflective sheeting — the highest-performing retroreflective material available. For fire and EMS chevron applications, we work with NFPA 1901-compliant materials. We’ll spec to whatever standard your department requires.

Can you respond to formal RFPs? +

Yes. We have RFP experience including the two named sheriff's contracts on our portfolio. We provide complete responses including material specs, warranty terms, sample work, references, and pricing structures. WBE certification documentation is included in every response.

How quickly can you turn around damaged vehicle replacements? +

For standard replacement panels on in-warranty vehicles: typically 5–7 business days from request to installed. We stock common materials specifically for this use case. Departments running multiple vehicles benefit from spec consistency — we maintain art files and material specs for ongoing fleets.

Do you handle both police and fire/EMS work? +

Yes. They’re different specifications and standards but the production capability is the same. Police and sheriff vehicles use ASTM Type IX-XI reflective sheeting; fire apparatus uses NFPA-compliant chevron treatments. We work to whatever standard governs your department.
